The Washington School Based Health Alliance hosted a webinar on Wednesday, May 2 from 9-10:30am. The topics included knowledge and insights around Washington state’s HPV trends and vaccination data. The presenters offer guidance and tips on how adolescent and school-based health providers can effectively communicate with diverse youth and families around HPV prevention, while also empowering youth and families with resources and knowledge to make informed decisions and be advocates in their health care. Moreover, the presenters speak to the Washington state ‘HPV at Nine’ initiative and elaborate on how their efforts to educate and raise awareness extend to the community level. Continuing education credits are available for nurses.
